“I turned off the road
Because I was bored
Because I was empty
And we all need filling up
I'd been running on petrol fumes
And enough was not enough
So I walked, heel to my toes
On the wire between carefree
And not caring at all”

- “Roadless” by Frightened Rabbit

This has been quite the trip so far. The journey has taken plenty of detours, missed exits, countess rest stops, and a few breakdowns on the side of a service road outside of Los Angeles, California. Beautiful sights, unexpected finds, and amazing playlists — it’s been glorious. Navigation mishaps, retracing paths, and kicking tires — definitely been there too.

I started young. It started with my dad’s VHS camera, then it was “Barbie Storymaker” (editing software for literal children - Google it when you get the chance), then it was the discovery of cameras, film, art, and it continued until I can’t remember any differently.

Growing up in Toronto, Canada was a blessing, and I am grateful for Etobicoke School of the Arts Film Program — the fun little experiment turned into quite the amazing program. After graduating I headed south to Savannah College of Art & Design, falling deeper in love with content, cinematography and colour theory.

Fast forward, I moved to Los Angeles, started in traditional film, transitioned to working digital creators, then wounded up in tech. While in tech, I would consider this my “MBA” experience — the gratitude for this time in my life is immeasurable. Finally I could take the art and truly pair it with business. (Things began clicking here.)

Now you can catch me producing, shooting, editing, writing, strategizing, and working with remarkable creatives. I used to think that a “Jack-of-all-trades” was dig at the fact I loved to do so much, now I wear it as a badge. (Also the entire quote is: A Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”)

I’m definitely still on this journey, and I cannot wait to see what comes next. Especially knowing how far I’ve come.
